The Jackson Ebi Panic lure range was designed specifically for use in Australian saltwater estuaries when chasing species like whiting, bream, and flathead down south, or sooty grunter, jungle perch, and mangrove jack up north. These unique prawn imitation lures are a mix between a small pencil and a popper, with a small cup on the face of the lure to create just the right amount of splash on each twitch of the lure to replicate a fleeing prawn. The Jackson Ebi Panic Lure also has its tow point at the rear of the body, which is more accurate than having it at the front as this is how prawns swims away. Fit with a strong and sharp treble plus a double assist hook off the back of the lure, these lures are ready-to-fish out of the box. The stinger assist hooks are particularly good when chasing species such as whiting that nudge the lure from the rear when in pursuit, and they're also hard to shake out once their in the fish's mouth.

Features:

  • Ribbed hard-body prawn imitation lure
  • Rear tow point to imitate a fleeing prawns swimming direction
  • Small cupped section to create just the right amount of splash like a fleeing prawn
  • Rigged with a strong treble in the middle and a double assist hook off the rear
  • 70mm | 4g | Floating

How to Use the Jackson Ebi Panic

The Ebi Panic is designed for the shallows and its rear weight allows it to have a nice long cast for its size but also keep the rear down in the water to best imitate a prawn on the retrieve. A constant twitching of your rod to create a splashing retrieve is how the lure is designed to fish. If you're targeting whiting, keep the twitching retrieve pretty constant. For bream and other species, a pause every now and then also works effectively.
